Holiday shortcuts: Special order tips from Jean!

Owners: You can order a case of anything in the store and get 10% off! With the holidays coming up, special-ordering cases of products can really help you save time and money when it comes to baking, gifting, or entertaining! Having worked here for many years, I have found some shortcuts that I want to share with you: 

Cooking and Baking Supplies

• Chicken or vegetable broth is an essential ingredient for soups, stuffing, gravy, and many more traditional holiday foods—and it keeps well too! Tetra Paks are available in multiple sizes with low and no-sodium options. Case of 12
• For pies and cookies:
• Bulk flours 50-pound bags
• Pecans and pistachios 25 and 30-pound bags
• Almonds, walnuts, and cashews available in 5-pound bags.
• Bulk dried fruits including dried cranberries, raisins, currants, dates, and apricots are also all available (Reminder: Start your fruit cakes early because you need to store them in a cool, dry place for at least a month!) 5-pound bags

Entertaining

• Big Dipper Wax Works Tea Lights offer a warm and festive addition to any holiday table – and your guests can easily see over them when seated at dinner! They are made from pure beeswax with cotton wicks. Cases of 16 and 48
• Cinnamon sticks for mulled cider can be ordered in bulk, and 5-pound bags of coffee are available too in case you have a houseful of guests coming in.
• Organic Prairie pre-sliced summer sausage is the perfect thing for party platters Case of 6

• Wine is available in cases of 6 or 12 – mix and match for a balance of red, white, and sparkling.
